It has been said that ‘home is the starting place of love, hope and dreams’, and at Wainwrights Estate Agents, I can proudly say, as I announce the grand opening of our new Greenmount office, that ours is a business built on these three elements.
Having lived in the area since the age of six, I can safely say that the best journey is the one that brings you home. Our grand office opening at 331 Holcombe Road, Greenmount this Friday, 3rd February, is for me, the final stage of that journey.
A local girl through and through, community means everything to me; in particular, THIS community. As a youngster, I worked at the local cricket club, where my brother and father played, scoring the matches. As soon as I turned 17, I graduated to working on the bar, mingling with the locals until the age of 25, when I bought my very first home.
This is when I first fell in love with houses too.
When it came to opening our estate agency on the high street, the opportunity to have a presence in Greenmount felt like fate. It sits at the hub of the areas we cover – areas including Greenmount, Holcombe Brook, Hawkshaw, Ramsbottom, Edenfield, Helmshore, Tottington, Harwood, Bradshaw, Bromley Cross, Egerton and Edgworth. All our Wainwrights staff are local to the Bolton and Bury area and know the area like the back of our hands.
For us, it comes back to community, the community I felt embraced by as a child growing up. It is important for all of us here that Wainwrights feels like part of the community, which is why we are keen to integrate and give back as we grow our business. Supporting local and smaller businesses is so important to us.
Previously I referred to our presence on the high street as an ‘office’; people also refer to agencies as a ‘shop front’, but the reality is, Wainwrights is so much more than either of these titles conveys. We strive to be a sanctuary, a warm and welcoming haven where you can step in off the street on a rainy day and sit down with us over a cuppa (or something stronger!) for a chat or some advice. The kettle is always on…and the fridge is always stocked.
Our mission has always been – and will always be – to help people enjoy the experience of moving home, taking as much stress out of the home moving process as possible. Now with our new hub on the high street, we are better placed than ever to hold your hand through this emotional process.
